Seattle - Space Needle

The Space Needle is the must see landmark in Seattle.  It was built for the 1962 world's fair and is a marvel of history and architecture.  We took the monorail to the needle.  A fun ride, but over too quickly.
There are views of the needle all over town, but it was really cool to get a couple ground level shots of it.

Here's a view of Seattle's Rock and Roll History Museum which I took while waiting in line at the elevator.  Here's a tidbit I didn't know - Jimi Hendrix is from Seattle.  That explains why he was so cool.
This is a view of the Pacific Science Center from the top of the observation deck.  If you're going to be in Seattle, the 45th Annual Festival of the Fountains will be held at the Pacific Science Center on Friday, July 22, 2011.  Sounds like fun!  For more information, click here.

Here's a view of downtown from the observation deck.  Just click on the picture to see it larger.
