We walked around Bainbridge Island. It definitely felt like a small island community. I could live there. We had a delicious lunch at a Mexican restaurant, shopped in artisan shops and bought pear wine at a little grocery store. The island sported its own public art and liberal politics and - like the city - was lushly green.

Everything seemed to move at a slower pace. The breeze was glorious. I was so excited to see palm trees! Palm trees and mountains. So much beauty. I could get used to living there. Stay tuned for my next post, where I will feature the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen.
