Pink Bedroom!

Sometimes this blog takes on a life of its own.  I have a schedule of posts and then they get interrupted by something too fab not to mention.  Such is the case today.  I have a lot of art I'd like to show you this week, but I could not wait to show you this divine bedroom!  Sometimes I think I should've devoted a blog entirely to pink.
Aaah.  I could live in a home done entirely in pink.  I think bubble gum pink is my all time favorite.  I think I love it even more than hot pink and I love me some hot pink.  I also adore monochrome.  Notice the variety of textures.  And that chandelier is too fabulous.  It's no surprise that this room is by my favorite designer, Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz.  This is the bedroom in his retreat in the Rockaways.  To see more of the home, see the article in New York Home Design.  Stay tuned, art coming up as promised.

We were at a horse show today and I told my husband that I thought my horse would look good in pink. He's a palomino Paint--that means blonde with white patches and a white mane and tail. When barrel racing, we match everything--the saddle pad, leg boots on the horse, reins, etc. I said pale pink like melted strawberry ice cream would look good on him. Kurt said, "Don't dress that horse in pink! He's a boy!"

What he doesn't know won't hurt him.

Ha! I don't know why people think pink is only for girls. This bedroom is actually a man's bedroom! (Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz) I agree your horse will look fab in pink. I do hope you take a picture.

Sometimes I think I should've done a blog devoted entirely to pink.

I used to hate pink when I was younger. I guess I always associated it with boring, prissy stuff. I also always hated blue and grey. I thought they were boring too, and depressing. I love pink now and I'm coming around to the blues and greys. Not talking about turquoise. I always loved turquoise. And aqua.

I'm getting ready to put some pictures of my blog to go with a story I had to come up with so you could see my purple dining room.

The color pink seems to be everywhere these days. One of my favorite rooms at Kips Bay Showcase House was done in pink, including the cowhide rug.

Hi again Greener - I've loved pink my whole life. I used to hate yellow and orange. Now I love them! I'm not currently decorating with orange, but I have in the recent past and it's one of my favorites. And - of course - it looks great with pink!

I can't really say there are any colors I don't like any more. I'm really having a love affair with color, I'm addicted.

Hi Basic - yes, I'm very excited about pink being everywhere these days! I feel like I'm partially responsible for that because I've been writing about my love of pink since I began this blog.
